The current year by the Ironian calendar is 783 IC. The IC stands
for "Ironian Calendar", which began in the year in which Martin the
Warrior was crowned Emperor of Ironia. Each month in the Ironian
calendar is 28 days, exactly one lunar cycle. Each year is 13 months,
making the year exactly 364 days. The months are the ones we are
familiar with, but between December and January is added the month of
Morsugur. Names of the week and times of day are unchanged.

Calendar relations:
All three major calendars differ only by the base year. This makes
sense, since there are exactly 13 lunar cycles in each solar
cycle. The new year falls on the day after the winter solstice,
December 22. The names of the months are not actually the same, but
will be rendered the same by translation.
The Vanguard calendar is dated After the Rising (AR), the year when,
according to Vanguard legend, the island rose from the sea. The
New Kromian Calendar (NKC) is dated from the creation of the Kromian
Empire.
